BATTER FRIED CHICKEN | |
1 egg, slightly beaten 2/3 c. milk 1 tbsp. Wesson oil 1 c. sifted flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer Combine egg and milk and oil. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Add to milk mixture; beat until smooth. Dip pieces of chicken in batter; drain 5-10 minutes on rack. Fill Dutch oven 1/3 full with oil. Heat to 375 degrees. Cook chicken about 12 minutes. Drain. |
