BEEF STEW IN OVEN 
2 lbs. beef stew meat
2 ribs celery (cut up)
4 potatoes (cut up)
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. black pepper
2 onions, cut up
4 carrots, cut up
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. tapioca
6 oz. tomato juice

Place meat and vegetables in large casserole. Sprinkle seasonings over these. Cover tightly and bake 4 hours at 250 degrees. After 4 hours remove lid and cook 1 more hour to thicken stew.
