PLUM JAM 
2 qts. tart plums (about 4 lbs.)
6 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice

Combine all ingredients, bring slowly to boiling, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Cook rapidly about 20 minutes. Stir often to keep from sticking. Pour into hot jars. Seal.
