DATE BARS 
CRUST:

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

2 c. dates, chopped
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl combine crust ingredients; mix until crumbly. Press into ungreased 17 x 13 inch jelly roll pan.
