POPOVER PIZZA | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. Bisquick 1 tbsp. snipped parsley 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.) 3/4 c. water 1/4 c. butter 1 c. Bisquick baking mix 4 eggs 1/4 c. chopped green onions Parmesan cheese Brown ground beef. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, green pepper, 2 tablespoons baking mix, the parsley and pepper. Heat to boiling. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 9"x13"x2" pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Heat water and butter to rolling boil in 3 quart saucepan. Add 1 cup baking mix, all at once. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Continue beating until smooth. Spread over beef mixture. Sprinkle with onions and/or Parmesan cheese. Bake until puffy and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Serve immediately. 6 servings. |
