BEEF AND BEER | |
3 lbs. 1 inch beef cubes 1/4 c. flour 3 tbsp. oil 1/4 tsp. salt 2 lg. onions, sliced 1 (12 oz.) can beer 1 (10 oz.) can beef broth 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 tsp. thyme 1 bay leaf 1 tbsp. parsley 1 tbsp. vinegar 2 tsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained or 1 c. fresh Shake beef in flour and salt. Brown in hot oil, half of beef cubes at a time. Combine other ingredients, add to pot. Simmer covered 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Thicken slightly using 1 tablespoon flour, blended with water. Serve over buttered noodles. |
