PICANTE SAUCE 
3 c. tomatoes, peeled & chopped
3 c. whole jalapeno pepper, seeded & finely chopped
3/4 c. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 c. vinegar

(Use rubber gloves to remove seeds from jalapenos.)

Combine all ingredients, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Pack in sterilized jars. Use all the liquid. Divide it evenly among the jars. Put on cup, screw band firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath. Process pints for 30 minutes.
