MOM'S HOMEMADE NOODLES 
1 egg
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. shortening
Pinch of salt (1/8 tsp.)

Place this mixture in bowl and stir. Add flour to mixture while stirring. Add just enough to stiffen. Put mixture on floured pastry board. Then knead more flour in (making sure not to get too dry). Roll dough out (about 1/8" thick). Take dough and roll up, then cut 1/2" slices. Take each slice and unroll (lying them flat). Take all of the noodles and add to boiling broth. Cook until tender. Makes enough for 2 servings. (Recipe can be doubled or tripled.)
