COOKED RAISIN PUFFY COOKIE
(MEN'S FAVORITE)
 
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. water
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 tbsp. leftover water
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar

Cook raisins in 1 cup water until water is all gone EXCEPT 5 tablespoons. Sift flour, soda, baking powder, salt together and set aside. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla and leftover water. Add flour mixture. Fold in raisins. Refrigerate.

Roll into balls the size of a ping pong ball. Roll the balls in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet for 12 minutes. Makes lots. Several dozen.
