GRANDMOM'S SHOO - FLY PIE 
PIE CRUST:

1 1/3 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. water

PIE FILLING:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. light molasses
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiled water

PIE CRUST: Mix first 3 ingredients and cut with fork. Add water and knead into a ball (handle dough as little as possible). Roll with floured pin and floured board. Roll out crust lightly and place in glass pie plate.

PIE FILLING: Stir together flour, sugar and baking soda. Cut in butter until crumbly and set aside. Combine molasses, soda and hot water. Pour 1/3 of liquid into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the flour mixture. Repeat layers ending with flour mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
