SHOO FLY PIES WET BOTTOM | |
1st. Part Juice 2 c. molasses 1 1/2 c. boiling water 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2nd Part Crumbs 4 1/2 c. flour 2 scant c. brown sugar 1 c. butter or lard This makes about six 7 inch pies. Line pie tins with pie dough then add juice first. Divide crumbs on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until brown on top or test with toothpick to see if done. |
