MY GRANDMOTHER'S CHOCOLATE PIE 
4 egg yolks (save whites)
12 oz. can evaporated milk
12 oz. can water
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. butter
2 baked pie shells

Mix cocoa and flour. Add egg yolks gradually. Add milk, water and sugar. Add butter and cook in double boiler until thick. Pour into baked pie shells. Cool. Add meringue and bake until lightly brown.

MERINGUE
4 egg whites
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Beat until fluffy and spread over pie. Bake at 400 degrees until slightly brown.
