3 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk (sweet milk or water may be used)
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch salt

Cook first three ingredients until hard ball stage. Add butter, vanilla and salt. Stir until it loses its gloss. Pour into butter platter.
