ITALIAN STYLE BROCCOLI 
1 bunch broccoli, about 1 lb.
3 tbsp. olive or salad oil
1 sm. garlic clove, crushed
4 oz. jar pimentos, drained and thinly sliced
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Trim leaves and tough part of stem from broccoli; cut lengthwise into spears; place in 12 x 8 inch baking dish with florets towards center of dish. Combine oil and garlic; pour over broccoli. Microwave, covered, on high for 6-8 minutes, rearrange, let stand 3 minutes. Add pimentos and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Reheat on high for 15-30 seconds to serve hot, or refrigerate to chill and serve cold. Approximately 4-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
