DOUBLE STRAWBERRY REFRIGERATOR
SHEET CAKE
 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dissolve 1 (3 oz.) package strawberry flavored gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cold water and set aside at room temperature. Mix and bake cake in 9x13x2 inch pan. Cool cake 20 minutes.

With cake still in the pan and warm, poke deep holes through the top of cake with a meat fork or toothpick; space holes about 1 inch apart. With a cup slowly pour gelatin mixture over cake. Cool in refrigerator. Top with whipped topping; add strawberries and nuts, if desired. Keep refrigerated and serve chilled. Serves 16.
