CONFETTI BREAD 
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped Brazil nuts
1 1 1/2 c. diced candied fruits
1/3 c. raisins
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. orange juice

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in chopped nuts, candied fruit and raisins. Cream shortening in bowl, add sugar, beat until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

Combine bananas, orange juice and add to creamed mixture, alternately with flour mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Pour into waxed paper lined and greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Let bread cool in pan 1 hour.
