CHINESE CHEWS 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
3/4 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs, then flour. Bake in shallow jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cut in squares when cool.
