TOLL HOUSE COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. soft butter or shortening
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Sift together dry ingredients and set aside. Combine butter, sugar, vanilla and water. Beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and coarsely chopped nuts. Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
