POLENTA 
1 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. crumbled dry sage
1/4 tsp. black pepper
3 1/2 c. cold water

Mix dry ingredients in saucepan. Add water. Cook, stirring constantly until very thick (about 10 minutes). Pour into baking pan. Cover with grated cheese. Bake until cheese is melted (5-10 minutes).
