GRAHAM CRACKER NUT CAKE | |
1/2 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 6 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. milk 1 lb. crushed graham crackers 1/2 lb. chopped walnuts (2 c.) 6 egg whites, beaten Mix all ingredients except egg whites. Beat egg whites until fluffy, then fold into the other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees 35-40 minutes. Frost with butter cream frosting. |
