HAWAIIAN YAMS 
2 c. cooked, mashed and whipped yams
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. flaked coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1 lg. can crushed pineapple with juice
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries with juice
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix yams, sugar, salt, vanilla, egg and coconut together. Pour into baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Topping: Mix pineapple, cherries, sugar and cornstarch together. Pour into saucepan. Cook until thick over medium heat and pour over the yams.
