CHOCOLATE CHIP SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs or 3 egg whites, slightly beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the oil and eggs and beat until thoroughly combined (mixture will be stiff). Stir in the nuts and chocolate morsels.

Spoon the dough into a greased and floured 9 inch square baking pan. Use moistened fingertips to smooth the top and spread dough evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool in the pan on a rack. Makes 16-20 bars.
