ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter (must use butter)
5 tbsp. water
1/2 lb. dipping chocolate

Cook sugar, butter and water until 280 degrees. Butter a cookie sheet and spread hot mixture over cookie sheet. When cool, spread melted chocolate over it. Break into pieces. Can use Hershey candy bars or chocolate chips on top. Use high heat, if possible. Use heavy pan. Can sprinkle nuts on top. Do not stir too much.
