MINT SWIRL BROWNIES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
1/4 c. softened butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Several drops green food coloring

Cream together cream cheese, butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Spoon half of the batter into another bowl; stir in nuts and chocolate. Drop chocolate batter from tablespoon checkerboard fashion into greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. To remaining batter stir in extract and food coloring. Spoon green batter into open spaces in baking pan. Swirl with spatula to marble; do not over mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool; pour chocolate glaze over top.

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

Melt 1 one ounce square unsweetened chocolate and one tablespoon butter over low heat; stir constantly. Remove from heat; stir 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until crumbly. Blend enough boiling water (about 2 tablespoons) until pouring consistently.
