CUBAN PICADILLO 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 chopped green pepper
10 pimiento olives, cut in half
1/2 c. raisins (yes I said raisins)
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. capers
Salt as needed (olives are salty)

Brown ground beef, add onions and brown or you can do them together. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 15 minutes. Should not be too dry. Serve over white rice, or over slices of Italian or French rolls. Serves 4-6. Note: Amount of olives and raisins can be less or more according to taste.
