PECAN OR WALNUT PIE 
1 c. white corn syrup
1 c. dark brown sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 heaping c. pecans or walnuts

Mix syrup, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla. Add eggs; mix well. Pour into 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle pecan over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. You can top pie with a bit of whipped cream or ice cream, but even plain, nothing tops this.
