NEVER FAIL PASTRY 
5 c. flour
1 lb. shortening (2 c.)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg, beaten and put in c. and fill with water to make 1 c.

Mix dry ingredients and work in shortening. Add egg with water and vinegar. Makes about 6 pie crusts. Freeze leftover. Once you try it, you won't use any other.
