SEAFOOD GUMBO | |
5 lb. shrimp 1 can crab meat 1 stalk celery 1 large bell pepper 3 c. cooking oil 1-2 1/2 can tomatoes 2 medium onions 2 cloves of garlic 3 c. flour 1 bag crab boil Cut celery, onions and peppers into small pieces. Put celery and peppers in 6 quarts of water and boil 10 minutes. Put flour and oil in skillet and brown until dark. (This will be called your rue.) Add onions and garlic to taste. Cook for 10 minutes. Add the flour mixture (rue), shrimp, crab meat, tomatoes and crab boil to the celery and pepper soup mix and cook for 30 minutes. |
