CRANBERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
1 slightly beaten egg
3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 tbsp. butter

Sift together the 1 1/4 cups flour, the granulated sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in the first 4 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg, milk and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and mix well. Spread in greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Spoon cranberries over batter.

Combine the 1/2 cup flour, the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in remaining 4 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; sprinkle over cranberries. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes.
