KISS ME CAKE 
1 navel orange
1 c. raisins
1/3 c. walnut pieces
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 baking pan. Squeeze orange; reserve 1/3 cup juice. Cut orange into pieces; grind together orange peel and pulp, raisins, and walnuts.

Combine in large bowl flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in milk, shortening, and eggs until blended. Beat 3 minutes on medium speed. Stir in orange mixture.

Pour batter into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. While still warm, drizzle with reserved juice.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. finely chopped walnuts

In small bowl combine ingredients. Sprinkle over cake. Serves 12 (340 calories each serving). This cake won the Betty Crocker Cook Off in the early 50's.
