COCOA KISS COOKIES
1 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts
9 oz. pkg. milk chocolate kisses (about 54)
Confectioners' sugar (opt.)

2. Add the nuts; beat on low speed until well distributed. Chill.

3. Unwrap kisses; shape a scant tablespoon of dough around each kiss, covering it completely. Roll each between your palms to form a ball.

4. Place a few inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

5. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until set, 10 to 12 minutes.

6. Cool slightly; remove with spatula to wire racks.

7. Cool completely; dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
