SAND TARTS 
1 lb. butter
8 heaping tbsp. powdered sugar
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. cold water
2 c. chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter and sugar together. Add flour and cold water, blend well. Add vanilla and nuts. Roll into small balls or different shapes with your hands and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 15 minutes. Roll in confectioners' sugar while still warm. Makes 16 dozen balls.
