MINT SWIRL BROWNIES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Several drops green food coloring

GLAZE:

1 (1 oz.) square unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together cream cheese, butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Split batter in half. Into one half, stir nuts and chocolate. Drop chocolate batter from a tablespoon checkerboard fashion into greased 9x9x2 inch pan.

Into remaining half of batter, stir peppermint and food coloring. Spoon green batter into open spaces in pan. Swirl with spatula to marble. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool. Glaze. Cut into bars.

GLAZE: Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until crumbly. Blend in about 2 tablespoons boiling water until of pouring consistency.
