JACK'S MEAT LOAF 
1-1/2 lb. ground beef
2 slices bread, dried and broken, but not crumbs
1 medium onion, diced
1 stalk celery, cut very fine
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. ground or rubbed sage
1/2 tsp. salt
Ketchup or tomato sauce

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, using a wooden spoon, rice spatula, or hands. Place in ungreased loaf pan. Form and round out mixture to fit pan.

Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until done.

Optional: Make a furrow lengthwise down center of meat loaf and fill with ketchup or tomato sauce.
