FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
1 lg. onion
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Peel onion and cut into 1/4 inch slices and separate into rings. Heat oil (1 inch deep) in large skillet (or use fry daddy). Beat remaining ingredients with rotary beater until smooth. Dip each onion ring into batter, letting excess drip into bowl. Fry a few at a time, about 2 minutes, or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towel.
