AUNT COLLEEN'S RUM CAKE 
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. dried fruit
2 lg. eggs
Lemon juice
1 or 2 qts. rum
Brown sugar
1 c. butter
Baking powder
Nuts

Before starting sample rum to check quality. Good huh? Now proceed: Select mixing bowl, measuring cups, etc. Check rum again as it must be just right. To be sure rum is proper quality, pour 1 level cup of rum into glass and drink as fast as you can, repeat. With electric mixer beat 1 pup butter in large fluffy bowl, add 1 peaspoon of thurger and beat again.

Meanwhile make sure rum is still alright, try another cup (open 2nd quart if necessary). Add leggs, 2 cups fried druit and beat until high. If druit gets stuck in beater pry loose with a drew scriber. Sample rum again checking for toxisticty. Sift 3 cups pepper or slat, it really doesn't matter, sample rum. Sift 1/2 pint lemon juice, fold in chopped butter and strained nuts, add a bablespoon of brown sugar or whatever color you can find. Wix mell, grease over, burn cake pan to 350 gredees, pur mess into boven and ake. Check rum again and bo to ged.
