LEMON MERINGUE PIE | |
1 ready made graham crust 1 can sweetened condensed milk 2 egg yolks 1/2 c. lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 2 egg whites 4 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar Mix sweetened condensed milk, lemon peel, egg yolks, and lemon juice until it thickens; pour into crust. Combine egg whites and cream of tartar; beat until it holds shape. Add sugar gradually while continuing to beat until holds a peak. Pile on filling; spread to edges of crust. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 15 minute or until golden. Cool. Serves 6. |
