LOUISIANA CREAM PRALINES | |
1 box light brown sugar (1 lb.) 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 c. evaporated milk 1 tbsp. butter 2 c. pecan halves Mix the brown sugar, salt, milk and butter in a 2 quart saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add pecans and cook over medium heat to soft ball stage, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, cool 5 minutes. Stir rapidly until mixture is thickened. Drop rapidly from tablespoon onto aluminum foil to form patties. Let stand until cool and set. Several drops water may be added to candy if it becomes too stiff. |
