BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
STEP I:

1 stick butter
2 1/2 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers

Melt butter; mix with crushed vanilla wafers. Press in cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.

STEP II:

2 sticks butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Cream for 5 minutes. Spread over cooked wafers.

STEP III:

4 or 5 lg. bananas
1 (#2) can drained crushed pineapple
1 pt. well-drained (frozen or fresh) strawberries
Cool Whip
Chopped pecans

Slice bananas lengthwise about 1/4 inch thick and place over creamed mixtures. Spread well drained pineapple over bananas, then a pint of well-drained strawberries. Top with Cool Whip and dot with chopped pecans. Refrigerate. Will keep for several days.
