JIFFY BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. shortening
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. ginger
3 c. med. noodles
1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. sour cream

Brown ground beef in shortening in skillet, stirring until crumbly. Sprinkle with soup mix and ginger. Layer noodles and mushrooms with liquid over ground beef. Pour 3-3 1/2 cups hot water over noodles until all are moistened. Cook covered, over low heat for 20-25 minutes or until noodles are tender.

Blend flour into sour cream in bowl. Stir into ground beef mixture. Cook for 3 minutes longer. Yields 6 servings.
