BEEF (LONDON BROIL) & BROCCOLI
2 1/2 lbs. London Broil
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 pkgs. (1 1/8 oz.) brown gravy mix
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 bunch fresh broccoli
1 can bean sprouts, drained
1 can (6 oz.) water chestnuts, drained & sliced

Slice meat on angle into 1/4 inch strips and cut each strip into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Quickly cook beef in medium hot oil until meat loses its redness. Remove meat and place in shallow bowl; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and garlic powder.

Prepare brown gravy, and add to pan juices with remaining soy sauce; add meat and juices to gravy; cook slowly for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cut broccoli into small pieces right up to the flower. Cook until just a fraction underdone. Drain, add to meat and gravy with bean sprouts and chestnuts; stir gently, heat thoroughly. Serve immediately over hot rice.
