MRS. KELLER'S BANANA BREAD | |
2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Grease sides and bottom of large loaf pan with oil and sprinkle with flour (coating evenly). Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Hand mix all above dry ingredients. To that add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil. Next mix 8 tablespoons milk and 1 tablespoon white vinegar (Heinz is best) in a cup. Add to above mixture. Mash 3 ripe bananas in a bowl. Mash very good. Add to mixture and mix. Add chopped walnuts if desired. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan (350 degree oven) for 1 hour and 5 minutes. After removal from oven, turn bread in pan over on each side for a few minutes to allow bread to come out of loaf pan easier. (This recipe is many years old. Turns out good every time.) |
