TEXAS STYLE 5-HOUR BEEF STEW | |
2 lbs. beef stew meat 6 carrots, scraped and cut into 2 inch pieces 4 med. potatoes, pared and halved 5 celery stalks, sliced diagonally 1 #2 1/2 can stewed tomatoes 1 green pepper, sliced 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 c. tapioca Combine beef and vegetables in Dutch oven. Sprinkle with tapioca, salt and sugar. Add tomatoes and stir to mix. Cover and bake 5 hours in 250 degree oven. Don't peek while it is cooking. |
