BROILED TOMATOES WITH DILL-SOUR
CREAM SAUCE
 
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp. dried dill weed or 1 tsp. snipped fresh dill
1/4 tsp. salt
3 lg. firm ripe tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter

Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, onion, dill and salt. Mix well, chill. Core tomatoes and cut in half crosswise. Season cut surfaces; dot with butter. Broil, cut side up, 3 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Spoon sauce over broiled tomatoes. Serves 6.
