OATMEAL BREAD 
2 pkgs. yeast
3/4 c. warm water
3 c. cooked oatmeal
3 tbsp. melted butter
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
5-6 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water, set aside. Mix oatmeal, butter, sugar and salt. When lukewarm, add yeast mixture. Blend well. Gradually add flour.

Turn onto lightly floured board and knead 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours. Shape into 2 loaves. Bake at 400 degrees for about 1 hour.

This is a nutty-slightly sweet bread than makes great toast or just plain!
