RED VELVET CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. Red Velvet food coloring
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat well. Make paste of cocoa and food coloring. Add salt and vanilla. Add to the first mixture. Alternately add buttermilk and flour. Mix soda and vinegar; fold into batter. Bake at 375 degrees until browned and done.
