CARAMEL POPCORN 
1 to 1 1/4 c. unpopped popcorn
Oil

Pop the popcorn (take out unpopped ones). Set aside in a large baking pan.

1 stick butter
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. white sugar (I use 1/2 white and 1/2 brown)

Melt butter; stir in syrup, sugar and salt. Boil slowly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Pour over popcorn; mix until it is well coated. Stir in 1 cup of mixed nuts or salted peanuts. Bake in oven at 250 degrees for 1/2 hour, stir occasionally.
