CHINESE CABBAGE SALAD | |
1 sm. head cabbage 2 oz. slivered toasted almonds 1 pkg. chicken Ramen noodles 3 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2-3 green onions 2 tbsp. sesame seeds 2 c. diced, cooked, chicken breasts 1/2 c. oil 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 pkg. chow mein noodles Put almonds and sesame seeds in single layer pan. Toast in 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes (watch carefully as they can get too dark in no time) until golden. Remove from oven and set aside. Put shredded cabbage, onion, diced chicken, crumbled, uncooked Ramen noodles into bowl. Mix noodle seasoning package, oil, vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Shake dressing. Pour dressing over salad and toss. Top with chow mein noodles. Can be made ahead, put dressing on just before serving. |
