HUSHPUPPY CORNBREAD 
1 egg
1 1/3 c. milk or 1 3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter
2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 med. onion, chopped

Mix the above ingredients and pour into a 10-inch iron skillet and bake at 500 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
