CASSEROLE GARLIC BREAD
1 c. milk, scalded
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. garlic salt
4 to 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 egg white, slightly beaten with 1 tbsp. water
Sesame seed

Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in lukewarm water. In large mixer bowl, combine sugar, butter, garlic salt and 2 cups flour. Add cooled milk and softened yeast to dry ingredients. Blend at low speed until ingredients are mixed, then increase to medium speed and beat for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining flour by hand, blending well.

Cover bowl with a damp cloth. Let dough rise in a warm place 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Beat down for 1 minute. Turn dough into a well-greased 1 1/2 quart round baking pan or casserole dish. Combine egg white and water, whipped together slightly. Brush top of dough with mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until golden brown. Cover with foil to prevent excessive browning. Cool several minutes before removing from pan. Serve warm.
